edgework
Edgework is growth on the edge. The edge of our current capabilities, skills, knowledge, and experiences. The edge of our confidence.
Nearly 20 years ago, I developed a concept I call "edgework" within the fields of education and organizational leadership. Today, I believe edgework to be relevant across all organizations as well as our personal and professional lives.
Edgework is a mindset and approach that powerfully shapes who we are, our relationships, and our organizations. Stepping over the edge requires commitment to the unknown, and the recognition that growth requires risk-taking and a willingness to be vulnerable. It is grounded in a deep knowledge of who we are and what we value.
Edgework IS work. It IS life.
That’s EdgeworkLife.
EdgeworkLife is personal. It requires reflection, intention, and commitment. It compels us to explore who we are, personally and professionally, while building relationships and inviting others to join us on our journeys. EdgeworkLife acknowledges and celebrates the intersection of who we are in the world, how we show up in relationships, how we lead, and how we live.
It’s that easy. And that hard.
